Amazing flavor...thought "shiso chips" might be possible but eating an entire leaf at once was a bit much, but these dried leaves will be a great addition to a couple of recipes.

Found a bag of organic rice bran at the local japanese market and I thought it would be an interesting ingredient to incorporate, but I'm realizing the flavour is very strong. I made a batch of Chewy Clusters and incorporated the bran.I'm curious how the cookie will taste.
Started documenting my expenses...what I'm actually spending per cookie, I have a feeling I don't want to know! Are you happy Matt?!?! :P

Inspired by japanese ingredients and a love for kinako (soy bean powder), I wanted to create a light cookie. A japanese friend mentioned kinako and molasses might be a good combination. I didn't realize how strong molasses is and we had to improvise...everything turned out.
