Hooker's in SF

Working out of Society Creative's studio today in San Francisco and stopped by a small shop on Hyde + Ellis called Hooker's Sweet Treats. The shop is only 8 months old and they sell coffee, salted caramels and small amount of baked goods. I wish I had more time to chat with the owner, I didn't even get his name!

I'm not a fan of caramel but his salty chocolate covered caramels ($2 ea.) were pretty good!

Mini Livestock

Enjoyed a very brief visit to the San Francisco Underground Market this afternoon. I wasn't sure if I could take photo's of the other vendors...eek. It was very inspiring to be in a room full of individuals who are just as passionate about their product as we are. I especially enjoyed chatting with Rossana, she is exploring integrating insects in food as part of the human diet. I really love this idea! Unfortunately I don't consume anything with eyes and couldn't taste her various flavoured mealworm popcorn but it looked good! Check out what she is up to at Mini Livestock!

FEEDBACK: Palo Alto, CA

Sample boxes are arriving. Just received feedback from a friend who is skeptic of vegan snacks, love the fact she calls my cookies "cardboard" (running joke)!

Your cardboards are seriously exquisite!! Packaging, presentation, taste, all A+++ WOW!! My kids loved them too. As you know, kids are saturated with all the extra sweet junk but they were fighting over who gets what.

My favorite so far is lemon lavender. - it's got such a complex but delicate flavor. Well done!! All of them develop different taste as I chew - like good bottle of wine. I am completely impressed. I think the bite sizes are perfect too. Just enough to serve with a cup of tea. Maybe you should suggest a tea pairing. :)

I am a convert. Thank you so much for sending me samples. I am definitely ordering more!!!

I really like the tea pairing idea. Thanks KT!
