Paid a visit to the Surfing Goat Dairy in Kula...Kula? I was amazed by the heat and how dry the landscape was considering Upcountry is normally green and cool!

Not too much was going on but it was nice to visit a local food business...the goats were cute!!!!!!!!!!

First visit to the lavender farm in Kula with my cousin Colin visiting from neighboring island Oahu...not really a local thing to do. The farm is small (in Mainland standards) and very charming. I love Kula, the weather reminds me of San Francisco, cool and foggy. I was sad to hear that the co-owner Ali'i passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. It was inspiring and made me want to whip up some Lemon & Lavender Macaroons!

Had a cup of lavender coffee and a lavender scone and enjoyed the view of the west Maui mountains, one of my favorite places on earth.
